Your questions answered

My Childs’ school is not listed, can they still attend?

Yes, our holiday clubs are open to all children aged 3-11 irrespective of the school they attend!

How do I sign up for holiday club?

We have a dedicated booking system that allows you to register your child, give all the information that we need and communicate any additional information here.  If you have any questions though, you can reach us at hello@pitterpatterplay.co.uk.  If you already attend one of our after-school clubs you do not need to register again and can select the venue you require for holiday club.

What are your fees?

A full list of our fees for all of our provision can be found here (link)

How do I book spaces?

Once you have signed up, and we have your completed paperwork, you will be able to book by logging into our page on Cheqdin.  You can access the link here (link to booking page). The fee is payable at time of booking, and you can manage regular and ad-hoc spaces through the app.

What is your staff to child ratio?

We comply with all CIW regulations and have at least 1 adult to every 8 children.

Can I cancel a booking?

You can request to cancel a space 7 days or more in advance.  If we can fill the space we will provide a credit against your next invoice.

What activities are on offer?

Example activities can be viewed here (link to HC page), we have a child-led policy and this means that we provide a variety of activities but that the children have a choice and voice in what they do.  We are not a homework club and we are not an extension of the school curriculum.  Our primary focus is on the wellbeing of children and giving them the space, time, and permission to play freely.

Do I need to provide food?

Please provide a healthy packed lunch and water in a labelled bottle that can be topped up as required. We provide a snack mid morning and mid afternoon and this is included in the price.  A menu will be publicised in advance and all allergies/dietary requirements should be recorded during the sign-up process. Some clubs will operate a breakfast club bookable through the Cheqdin system as an add on service.

Can I use tax credits, childcare offer, tax free childcare or childcare vouchers?

We accept all of the above. When you create a reservation, you will receive all of the details you need to set this up. Please be aware that you are responsible for payment for any difference between funding and actual cost.

Can I pay with cash/cheque/bank transfer?

We use a fully automated booking system through Cheqdin and as the payment is what completes the booking we do not accept other payment methods.

How will you keep in touch with me while my child is in your care?

If you allow notifications from the Cheqdin app then you will receive diary invitations for your bookings, real-time notifications of sign-in and sign-out, menu, photographs/updates and minor incident reports.  Any major incident report would be communicated by telephone by the leader to those listed on the emergency contact form.  You will be able to communicate with us via the app.  An emergency number will also be available for phone calls only.

How can I get in touch with you during the session?

So that care of the children remains our primary focus we ask that you communicate any non-urgent updates via the app.  An emergency number will also be available for phone calls only during club hours, this will be communicated with you on sign up.  Outside of club hours, please contact us at hello@pitterpatterplay.co.uk

What is the process for Holiday Club drop off and pick up?

Please remain with your child/ren until they have been signed in on the app.  We aim to get everyone signed in as swiftly as possible, please help us by making sure your details are updated in the app on a regular basis. Please do not send unaccompanied children to the setting as this is a safeguarding issue.  As per our policy, children must be signed in and out by a responsible person listed on the app.

Who can collect my child?

During sign up you will be asked to give the details of all people that would be allowed to collect your child.  For safety reasons any changes to this must be registered through the app.  Please collect your child on time, it is our policy to charge for late collections.  Further details can be found in our Collection of Children policy.
