Our values are guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

We believe that play is a fundamental right of childhood and is central to children and young people’s wellbeing and development.

Play is a fundamental and vital dimension of the pleasure of childhood, as well as an essential component of physical, social, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual development regardless of their race, religion, or abilities.

CORE VALUESOur play philosophy

Play is for children, by children. It should be done the way they want, they should be able to determine and control the content and intent of their play, by following their own instincts, ideas and interests, in their own way for their own reasons.

OUR STAFFTrained play workers

The role of the playworker is to support all children and young people in the creation of a space in which they can play. We recognise our impact as playworkers and advocate for play that does not engage with adult led agendas.
